M.J. Hur, a native from Korea, stunned the LPGA and made a 6-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole of the Safeway Classic on Sunday to beat the favourite Suzann Pettersen on the Ghost Creek course at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, Oregon.
This is her first LPGA victory and she pocketed another $255,000.00 paycheck, jumped into number 32 in LPGA money leaders.
Hur, who competed on the Futures Tour last season, had played in 13 previous tournaments this season, making the cut six times.
