Marquess Michelle

IMG, the world's premier sports, entertainment and media company, announced today that LPGA Tour professional Michelle Wie has signed with the company for exclusive worldwide management and marketing representation.

In 2006, Wie had won enough money playing on sponsors’ exemption to earn LPGA Tour membership but didn’t petiton the tour for an age exemption. (she was 16 at that time).

After a few incident in 2007 and people started to questioning her future in golf, she surprised many by entering LPGA Tour QC and successfully earned her card for 2009. Seeking her first professional title, she held a three-stroke lead with eight holes to play at the SBS Open in Hawaii, but eventually lost by three strokes to Angela Stanford. She is expected to play in next week's Phoenix LPGA International.

Today she is standing side by side with big names after signing with IMG. For the records, IMG boasts a client list that includes: Tiger Woods, Annika Sorenstam, Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis and Morgan Pressel.
