Fore!!!!!!!- you will end up in court!!!

South Korean Supreme High Court has fined a Korean golfer for a weird shot that landed his caddie in a hospital for two weeks.

According to the court, that fler was at the 3rd hole at a club in Gunsan Province in Korea. During his mighty swings, he slipped and lost his footing and sent the ball behind him & struck his caddie stomach. ( i think he score at least triple bogey for that hole)

The court ruled is as a violation of duty of that fler to prevent injury ti other persons while playing a sport.

That fler tried to fight and compared to other sports such as boxing etc.

The court says" In the event such boxing or judo, injury to the opponent is to be expected so there is that mitigating circumstances"

The sad thing is, the fler has been fined KRW2.0M( 1 South Korean won = 0.000678 U.S. dollars) for his triple bogey. I wonder how much he lost his side betting that day!!!

Monsoon Season- Winter Rules Apply

Monsoon season is coming!!!! We will again heard lots of four letter word in golf course...A lot of ball will went missing which need CSI to search for it. To make our golfing will be more "fun", we need to look these so call rule.
Winter rules" (also called "preferred lies") is a condition that exists by local rule only and under which golfers are, on certain parts of a golf course, allowed to improve their lies without penalty. This rules is also is not codified in any of the 34 rules that make up the Rules of Golf. The practice is only mentioned in an appendix to the rules, where there is also a sample local rule for use by courses, clubs or committees.
Generally, winter rules are put into place during, of course, the winter, when adverse weather conditions can impact the golf course itself. Under the most common winter rules, a player whose ball is in the fairway would be allowed to improve the lie if that ball was, for example, on a bare patch of ground.
Winter rules can differ from course to course; only a course, club or committee can declare winter rules in effect (a player may not declare, in absence of a ruling from the club or course, that he is playing under winter rules). If you carry a handicap, rounds played under winter rules must be reported for handicap purposes. As for me, I'm still searching for replacement for my club which has been stolen last months. I also need to add another rules for those golfers: Don't steal another golfer club.. You definitely will ended up in HELL!!!

Grip it and Rip it - John Daly

"My life is upside-down right now. No matter what I do, it’s wrong. I’m thinking of writing a new song. I’ll call it, ‘I guess it’s my fault, even when it’s not my fault."- John Daly

A song writer, performer, alcoholism, gambler, drug, health, mariages problems - The true color of John Daly. But one thing for sure, he had archeived which most of PGA players have not - 1991 PGA championship and 1995 British Open.

Born in April 28, 1966 in Carmichael, California and move to Arkansas and started to play golf since six years old.

Daly turned professional in 1987, and won the his first ever title at Ben Hogan Utah Classic in 1990. Then he joined the PGA Tour in the following year and he came into attention after won the PGA Championship that particular year. The interesting fact was, he was the ninth and final alternate for the Championship. He entered the competition when Nick Price dropped out and no other alternate could make it.

Daly's golf swing is easily recognized, as he sends the club way "past parallel" to the ground on his backswing, thereby generating tremendous power. His lifetime average for distance off the tee is 309.4 yards, and his single-season personal best is an average of 314.3 yards, which he attained in 2003.Eventhough he can reach very long par 5 holes in two strokes where no one else can, he is also known for having soft hands and a deft touch in his short game around the greens.

Despite his non "country club" appearance and attitude, and his rough-and-tumble personal life, Daly remains one of the most popular and intriguing figures on the Tour, despite his recent lack of success. This video speak it all!!!!

My Game, My World - Camilo Villegas

He is a professional golfer, celebrities, model and a God to Columbian golfer and most importantly Camilo Villegas ( pronounce as Ka-me-low Vee-jay-gaas) is one of the young millionare in today's golf industry. Born in January 1982 and took up the game as a child. Graduate from University of Florida and was player of the year in 2002 and 2004. In 2006 "Golf Digest" named him as " the most ripped player on tour".

He began playing on the PGA Tour in 2004 and earned his PGA Tour card just prior to the 2006 season. He had a blistering start to his 2006 rookie year on tour, with two second place finishes and a third place (at The Player Championship) in his first nine events.

Villegas' tremendous physical power allows him to drive the ball far away from the tee box, averaging 302.1 yards in the 2006 season. He also adapts a homemade putting routine: while he reads a putt, he crouches down parallel to the ground without touching it, extending his left leg back while balancing with his right leg and his putter to get a better view of the slope of the green. He is given the nickname "Hombre AraƱa" (Spiderman) for this posture.

This spiderman was also become the first player in 11 years to win post his two US PGA Tour victories in consecutive starts. Three week after winning the BMW championship, he stormed from 5 stoke behindin final round before beating Sergio in the play off at the USD8.4M Tour Championship.

In 2008 alone he managed to earn USD3.910M for 23 event he played. Quiet awesome for 26 year old columbian who is now staying Jupiter Florida.

Villegas is currently sponsored by the Acushnet Company and plays under the Cobra name. As of June 1, 2008, Villegas plays the following equipment;

Driver: King Cobra L4V 9°

Fairway Woods: King Cobra Speed LD F 3 & 5

Iron: King Cobra Carbon CB #3

Irons: King Cobra Pro CB 4-PW

Wedges: Titleist Vokey Design 54° & 58°

Putter: Scotty Cameron Circa '62 #6

Ball: Titleist Pro V1

I had today tried to adapts his putting routine during my President's Cup golf tournament. My back hurts and my score suck!! I wonder how he managed to do that for 18 consecutive holes!!

These girls are hot!!!.... err... rock!!!

I have to admit that one of the reason I follow LPGA event because of the glamours and their outfit style. Not to mentioned their precession in golf. Look at their skirts, earring and other gear wear they are wearing. it will make you crazy. Please look at Lorena, Anikka, Paula, Pressel, Michele and Natalie.(to named it a few). They are Hot!!!

One thing that you will notice at an LPGA event…style. The players, equipment, and sponsors on the LPGA express themselves much more creatively than the other traditional tours. You will find everything from canary yellow and bright blue staff bags to Bullwinkle head covers. The old guard moved out and the new has moved in allowing a fresh look for all to see.

Most of the trends we have seen for the youngest players are form shorter skirts, fitting clothes and colors on top of colors. The old guard moved out and the new has moved in allowing a fresh look for all to see. Not just stopping with the clothes, but the equipment and the bags that hold them to. Even nowadays, Lorena started to wear daring outfit!!

While surfin, i found a website which make me laugh like mad. Kudos to www.golfun.net for enlighten my day. Please visit them (I'm doing this promo for free). I;m sure you will enjoy especially their video clips. Here something to share:

Jokes.

1) Handicap
A couple of buddies decide to play together for the first time. Mac is an avid golfer and Jimmy is new to the game. On the way to the golf course, Mac ask" By the way, what's your handicap?" Jimmy replies. " i don't have one.. it's more like a permanent disability"

2) Late Arrival
One golfer asked his friend, "Why are you so late in arriving for your tee time?". His friend replied, "Its Sunday. I had to toss a coin between going to church or playing golf." "Yes." continued the friend, " but that still doesn't tell me why you are so late." " Well." said that fellow, "it took over 25 tosses to get it right!"

3)It's called Golf
  • In primitive society, when native tribes beat the ground with club and yelled, it was called witchcraft: today, in civilized society, it called golf
  • The man who takes up golf to get his mind off his work soon takes up work to get his mind off golf.
  • Golf was once a rich man's sport, but now it has millions of poor players.
  • Golf is an expensive way of playing marbles.
  • The secret of good golf is to hit the ball hard, straight and not too often.
  • There are three ways to improve your golf game: take lessons, practice constantly... or start cheating.
  • An amateur golfer is one who addresses the ball twice... once before swinging, and once again, after swinging.
  • Many golfer prefers a golf cart to a caddy because it cannot count, criticize or laugh
  • Golf is a game in which the slowest people in the world are those in front of you, and the fastest are those behind.
  • Golf: A five mile walk punctuated with frequent disappointments.
  • There's no game like golf: you go out with three friends, play eighteen holes, and return with three enemies.
  • Golf got its name because all of the other four letter words were taken

What's in the bag- Tiger Woods

When Tiger won last year Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines GC (actually he won 5 times since 1996), the followings were in his golf bag:

1) Driver - Nike SasQuatch (8.5 degrees)

2) 3 wood - Nike SasQuatch 2 (15 degrees)

3) 5 wood - Nike T40

4) Irons 3 to PW - Nike Forged Blade

5) Wedges - Nike Pro Combo (56 degrees) and Nike Forged (60 degrees)

6) Putter - Scotty Cameron by Titleist by Tiger

7) Golf Ball - Nike One Platinum.

And as he always said in his Nike commercial: " I'm not Nike Athlete. I am a whoever-makes-the-best-equipment-in-the-world-athlete". - sigh.. and I'm still paying RM40.00 to wear Nike golf cap!!!

Quotes on Tiger

I managed to capture lot of thing have been said about the world number one. Here some of it for our fun reading.

“Tiger’s having a 10 years anniversary, is he? Tiger gets old too.” – Jack Nicklaus with regards to Tiger approaching his 10 years anniversary of his first Master victory

“f you look down the list of all the great golfers, they all had strength of mind, resilience, determination and desire. But to win 70 odds time, is a lot of golf tournament to win. There are not too many players who have done that so there’s got to be something special about him. I don’t care whether they are major championship or regular championship, he is trying just hard here in Dubai as he will be at the US Master” – Greg Norman on Tiger Wood.

“Its always nice to beat tiger obviously. It’s the first tournament I have won that he’s been in. He is great players, so of course that give you extra satisfaction to beat him” – Henrik Stenson who outplays Tiger and Ernie in 2007 Dubai Desert Classic in Dubai

"Golf, as we know it, is over. It came to an end on a chamber-of-commerce Sunday evening in Las Vegas when Tiger Woods went for the upgrade: He's not just a promising young Tour pro anymore, he's an era." Gary Van Sickle, Sports Illustrated

"The hip hype that has accompanied Woods's move into the professional ranks is both understandable and regrettable." Larry Dorman, New York Times

"He hit the dimpled white sphere off the tee so high, so far, that for a moment it got lost in the misty, bright blue sky. Then the ball sailed downward, took two bounces to the right of the cup and skirted underground like a field mouse running from a predator." Joe Burris, Boston Globe
"Tiger is the greatest thing that's happened to the tour in a long time. He has brought incredible attention to golf at a time of year when football and the World Series always take precedence. Everything I've heard about him seems to be true.'' Payne Stewart after Tiger's win at the Disney Classic)

"Tiger is like John Daly but with total control. If that's not a scary prospect for the rest of us, I don't know what is." Paul Goydos, PGA tour professional

"There was a time, when Woods first turned professional, when people wondered if he had the game to win an Open, whether he had enough accuracy off the tee, or enough control with his short irons, or enough patience. Those questions have been silenced. Woods can win on any golf course that has tee boxes, fairways and greens." Clifton Brown,NY Time.

Shop 72

This is my second favorite spot to hang out beside kopitiam.. Even though there are no WIFI or other young folks gadget, i still love to be there.

Shop 72 is the pioneer golfs mist in East Coast particularly in Kuantan. Owned by "uncle Ng" who is humble and a very experienced golfer in town. Located in Jalan Teluk Sisek which a few step away from my office.

I had bought my first golf set here and also recommended to my few friends. You will find a lot of golf stuff with good quality and reasonable price. From a tee to custom made golf club. You just named it. it's all here!!! You are also can ask for free advise regarding your game or other golf problem from uncle Ng. He definitely will try to solve your problem with a smile.(Ops...please do not ask him on your relationship problem).

Nowadays, at least 5 golf shop has been in the market in Kuantan, but i think most of Kuantan golfers surely agree that Shop 72 is the coolest golf shop ever in East Coast and particularly in Kuantan.

How far your driver distance from tee?

During my earlier days in golf, i only managed to hit as far as 175 meters using my Taylormade R7 driver. Most of senior golfer told me to be patient." Don't worry about the distance, it will come naturally". WTF!! until now, after 4 years, i still hitting below 200 meters!! My 9 iron just went around 90 meters. no wonder i found it too difficult to GIR in two stroke. Luckily my short game is awesome.
People said, there is no specific distance in golf stroke every golfer has a different golf swing speed. But, for those golfer that play regular flex golf clubs (swing speed between 75-85 mph), the average lengths of golf clubs are considered normal. One article mentioned that there is usually an 8-12 yard difference per club at the normal swing speed with standard lofted clubs. For 3 iron -190, 4-180, 5-170, 6-160, 7-150, 8-140, 9-130, PW -115, GW-100, SW-80, LW-60. You must also take into account that all golf clubs are not lofted the same. Those days, the average pitching wedge was 48 degrees of loft. At the moment, I'm using Callaway Big Bertha PW´s that are 53 and Cleveland SW 44 degrees. My distance still suck!!! Luckily Malaysian golf course are not like PGA standard course. Just imagine I need to hit 495 yard par 4 at Home of Golf?? Sure at least double bogey!!!

Easyswings II

Another day to be remembered!!!

I did a full round of golf this morning... Today, i actually were late and my golf mate already at our 1st tee box at 7.30 am. Without a proper warm up, my fist tee off sliced in to the right but luckily it ended up with a bogey.

My golf game a little bit rusty but since the golf course quiet forgiving, i managed to control my game. I scored 42 in the first nine hole. wow!! 3 under!!!

After halfway breaks, we continue with our second nine and my golf game was pretty awesome. i managed to maintained my score with 42 strokes. Total gross 84 strokes!!!! Yes!!! today i played as 12 handicappers!!!The interesting parts i was i just only did 24 puts!!!!

The secret?- Make it easy!!! and don't push yourself.....

( i wonder why i cant get this kind of score during club championship tournament...sigh..)

Get dress and play like a pro!!!

Here some tips that make you will play like a professional golfer even though you score suck!!!

Just remember, these are the very basics:

1) Dress like a professional

2 Always pay careful attention to who's turn it is to hit, you wouldn't want to hit out of turn.

3) Never talk or move around on the tee box when one of your playing partners is addressed to his/her golf ball.

4) Always repair your ball marks on the green

5) Shake hand to congratulate your golf mate after finishing your round of golf.

Remember, etiquette is a vital part of golf, and there's a few rules you need to know before you ever step on the first tee. Have fun with it!!! You will not only impress your foursome, but definitely play like a pro!

Cellphone in golf course

Yes GIR in two!!!! Birdie chance!!!!.
After full concentration and carefully reading the green slope, you are know ready to attack birdie.... while your putter are in your back swing mode you heard the most stupid sound from your golf mate hand pone!!!! WTF!!!!
Please!!!!!! Good golfers are always considerate of others. While it may be necessary to bring the cellphone on the course in anticipation of business or family calls,(whatever!!) the vibrate function on the phone can be a necessary feature. While minding your cellphone manners for other golfers, you also need to pay attention to golf course rules. Many courses enforce a "no-cellphone rule," which means players can't take their phone on the course. Other courses ask you to silence your phone or simply put the phone on vibrate. If you must take a call, (for the god sake) please leave the green or stand in the distance of players around you, so as not to disturb their concentration. The best solution, please leave our fuckin cellphone in your damn car!!!!

Malaysian's next rising star

At the beginning, my kids hate golf. Whenever i watching live telecast via the golf channel, they (including my pretty wife) are screaming for another channel especially their cartoon network. *Sigh*.

One fine day, i managed to convince them to joint me at the driving range. After a few round they started to feel the game. So, i registered them into the Junior academy for further formal lesson from the pro.

After a few round of golf at RPGC, they (especially my son) become crazier than me. He even stay out late night to accompany me to watch his idol in PGA tour.

Putera Danish's second shot for hole number 10 Par 4

Farrah's second shot end up to bunker trap near the green

They managed to reach the green with err... ( i dunno the exact score but who cares!!!) .
Unfortunately due to my busy work schedule, i unable to sent them regularly to their golf classes. But the funny things is, my wife started to hate me coz she is the only one who is screaming whenever we enjoying the golf live telecast!!!!!

world number one

The world golf number one ranking is still Tiger . He has held the position for more than 466 weeks and i don't think he will relinquish his position to Phil Mickelson in this new future even he haven't play for the rest of the season this year.
Greg Norman the great white shark in the closest player to Tiger mania held the said position for only 331 weeks. Nik Faldo hold the third seat with 97 weeks. Then follow by Seve Ballesteros (61), Ian Woosnam (50), Nick Price (44), Vijay (32), Fred Couples (16), David Duval (15), Ernie the Big Easy (9), Bernhard Langer (3) and the last one who experience the honor is Tom Lehman with 1 week.
For me, i still having trouble to do golfing once a week!!!! WTF

Ramadhan Rampage

Sunday, September 13th, 2008. The day i'll always remember!! For the first time in my golfing career i managed to score 41 (1st nine)!!!!! 4 pars and 5 bogeys.

Tee off via the white tee box, my excitement began with my attempt for birdie at the first hole. After tapping for bogey in the second hole, i never look back in trying to break my last record scoring 42 somewhere in 2007.

There was a scary moment while i was at hole number 5. Slightly dog leg to the left, i found my second shot exactly in somebody divot. Bloody hell, these golfer never learn their golf ethics for not replacing the divot!!!. When realise, i will not able to attack the green, i just puch the ball into play. i pull my callaway 56 degree SW and managed to put my ball 2 yard from the pin. What a relief!!!. My odessey XG putter really awesome that day!!! The ball went was exactly follow the green slope and drop in center of the cup.....

Things are getting more and more exciting. After managed to GIR in two shot at the last hole, i unable to control my excitement and my nerve. I had to make three put and end up with bogey...WTF!!! If i able to avoid that stupid mistake, i will able to score 40!!!!!. Arrgh!!!!! I need to see my therapist!!!!!!!

What's in the bag

Last sunday i managed to clean my golf equipment (including the golf bag!!!) and i notice that my equipment are not so bad compared to the professional players. The professional players are also using equipment which are in the market. The only different that i know, they are having custom equipment which are solely made to them. The sad thing is ; they have it for free and some of them get paid for that. So my weapon for mass destruction are:

Padraig Harrington (Bristish Open Back To Back Champion)

Driver : Wilson Staff Dd6+6 (9 degree)
Fairway wood : TaylorMade Burner 3 wood (13 degree), Wilson Starr FYbrid 5 wood
Irons : Wilson Staff C17 (3-4), Wilson Staff Pi5 (5 - PW)
Wedges : Wilson Staff Tw9 (54 & 60 Degree
Ball : Titleist Pro V1x

Myself (handicap 18)

Driver : Taylormade R7 draw 460 (10.5 degree )
Faiwar Wood 3 : Taylormade R7 draw
Hybrid : Wilson Staff NCUT 22 degree
Iron : Callaways X14 ( 3 - 9)
Wedges : Cleveland problade 53 degree , Callaways Big Bertha 56 degree
Putter : Odessey White Hot XG
Ball : Second Hand Ball

If you can see, there are not so much different. As mentioned before, Padraig is paid to use the equipment but for me , i need to pay for that equipment. WTF!!!!!

PGA Playoff- BMW Championship

When Anthony Kim missed his birdie chance in 17th, i know that for sure that day belongs to Camilo Villegas. Our new champ had won his first PGA title and damn big money-USD1,26M compared to our Malaysian Rizman who earned USD63K in Pakistan's Open last year.

But today issue is not about the money.... We had seen hundreds of good round of golf all around the world live thru our flat screen tv. The most popular channel of course in Golf Channel Pay per view via astro. I have to admit that the crew have done a extremely good job which to make sure we will able to see every angle of golf shot which i think even the players himself cannot imagine.

Just imagine that we are able to see every shot made by the players. Bear in mind that in the day one of any tournament, at least 120 player are the field. Each of the players score has to be publish before and after the shot has been made. Every echo sound from the ball striking has to be heard by viewers.

One of the British commentator said that golf is the hardest game to be recorded live on air. Compared to other sports (except sailing), i totally agree the him. For normal 7000 yards golf course, you need at least 8 announcers. Not mentioning the guys on the tower near to green, a few guy up there in led zeppelin kind of balloon and of course the main control room at the club house. The commentators need to follow the players from the 1st until 18th tee box holding the camera just to make ourselves at home able to enjoy s the beauty of golf. These fellow is actually truly professional in the golf course

MONTHLY MEDAL

Argh... last Sunday i entered my KIRK monthly medal for August 2008. Not so many participant since it was a heavy downpour early in the morning.
The game should start at 8.300 but as usual malaysian time is always half an hour late. Mode of play- stable ford. i'm quiet lucky that all my flight mate were not in the mood to go for any betting (they know i hate betting in golf course).
Started on hole 9 par 4 and without any proper warm-up, i ended fro double bogey.(WTF!!!). Then i realise that i need to play my own game. For the rest of the 8 hole i manage to compose myself but still i unable to make a putt. Ended up with 17 point. After taking a quick break, we continue with another 9 but yet still unable to make a putt. There is one hole i able to attacked for birdie but end up for a bogey. What a shame!!!!. total point score for that day 34 point. i had score solely a par, 15 bogey and 2 double bogey. Not bad but if i able to make a putt than the score should be much better!!
During the submission of the scorecard, i found out the most of 22 and below handicappers scored 38 point and above. Some of them scored 42 point.!!! Something not right!!!!! For me, they are not suppose to declared as 24 handicappers!!!!
One thing that really make me sick when i notice one group played with 6 golfer and make us wait for them to finish after one and half hour later... ( i went home quiet early that day......)

ROYAL PEKAN GOLF CLUB

Welcome to Royal Pekan golf club!!!! Another monster need to deal with.. For those has been curse by hole no 10, 196 yards par 3, you know the pain that i had going thru.

This golf club is very different compare to KRIK. Most of the hole are really need you to focus on the club selection. This golf course is also under major renovation including its club house.

above: Hole number 7, 193 yard par3. The is water in the right and deep bunker in the left on the green. Solid 3 wood three with a bit of draw will do. Any slice will end up in the water. confirm!!!

Wide fairway doesn't mean you will able to attack for birdie. This 426yard par 4 really need you to really consistent with your iron shot.

Another long Par 3 to negotiate. 196 yard which is the longest Par 3 in this golf course. Water hazards every where. Sometime , i'm using my R7 driver to attack the green. You also need to look out for 3 bunker traps beside the green.

if you notice , there is water hazard in the left of your screen. i'm still wonder how many golf ball in there?

What a beautiful day......(if you still able to play for another 9 hole)

Another signature hole, par 3 187 yard. wood 5 is the best solution unless you think you can blast you 4 iron into the 5km - 7km wind blows direct to your face!!!

Green hole number 18. Until now has yet to on in two shot. Water hazard in the right and tricky bunker trap on the left.

So far, 45 in the best score i ever had in this long golf course. You also will have to go thru 2 long par 5. The longest is 596 yard dog leg to the left. Phew!!! you are slightly better than tiger if you able to reach the green in two.
Overall, its value for the money if you only pay RM500.00 for life membership fee!!!!

KELAB REKREASI INDERA KUANTAN

I had played this wired game since 2000 and than registered as KGSS or Kelab Golf Sana Sini. Kelab rekreasi Indera Kuantan (KRIK) is the first club that i had ever joint as life membership. To be honest, i have yet to score below 40 in this golf course. The best best score i ever have was 42 in 2006. Till then, average score 45 & 46. You know why, lets tour with me for hole per hole in this f****n golf course.

Hole no 1: Short par 4 with slight dog leg to the right. If you are hard hitter ,pls dont ever try to blast your golf ball with your expensive fucking driver since surely will end up direct to the mosque beside the green. Furthermore three challenging bunker waiting for you near the hill slope green.

Hole no 3: After you finish the hole number 2 par 5 also slightly dog leg to the right, you will encounter this 176m challenging par 3.Solid wood 3 will do. unless your a slicer than your score at least double bogey since there is a made man so call lake waiting for you. If you hook the ball, the possibility you will hit some three in the left. Kalau worse sangat pun you will hit "budak sekolah" waiting for their bus.

Okay, we move forward to this so called "sharifah Aini" hole. Before that, remind you to try to score as lowest as you can get as your "bekal" for this hole. This hole will curse all the way to the pin. This monster 461M par 5 will teach you a lesson how important course management is!!. OB on the both left and right side with a few inches rough to negotiate with. For normal hard hitter, they will try to on in two but for regular golfer like me and..........

i told you that regular golfer who try on in two will the consequences. See ... Abdul Jabar has been curse. He tried very hard but end up with penalty shot. He still tried again to on in 4 but still end up with triple bogey. Huargh huargh huargh...

Okay, this is my favorite hole. Short Par 4 302m slightly dog leg to the right. See the huge fence beside the tangki air?. That will prevent the golf ball flying to the Hall next to it. But still, ball flying and breaks the utility hall windows. This is again, your course management is very important. All you need to make sure you are able to make your second shot playable. If you tried to blast with your driver, the possibility you gain triple bogey is 80%!!!

This is from your second shot view (Kalau your 1st shot tak OB la). You are able to attack birdie from here. But watch out for OB sign on the left & right of this fairway.

Hole no 6: Short par 3 130m to the pin. But still unable to make regular birdie. Bear in mind, if you hook the ball to the left, the possibility your ball hitting a car passing by is 100%.

Hole no 7: The longest par 4 ever. Even hard hitter like Kerol or Jabar never on in two. For my self is definitely on in three. no question about it. if you get double bogey considered ok already.

Hole no 8: Again, if you are a hard hitter, this hole is kacang putih. BUT, if you are a slicer, most probably your ball will ended in to "Panglima's house". Per day, i saw at least more than 10 ball went inside his house.

As mentioned, if you are able to drive at least 200m, you will easily able to attack for birdie. For me, Par is good enough since my driver only around180m. (S**t)

This is green for hole number 2 you need to negotiate afterward.

Hole number 9: Dog leg 340m par 4. At last final hole!!!!

View form the tee box number 9. See on the left? That is the green hole number 2 you need to look at. Give away for golfer to finish the put of you will hit their head with your golf ball!!!!.
This hole actually all you need to drive the ball straight to the lamp post (some golfer terus hit the lamp post) and we will see our faith later.

If you are golfer like me, then you have to negotiate with that fuckin three. See my ball at the center of picture?. Yes, my drive a lit a bit short and now i had to carry that fuckin three. Unless you are able to slice the ball to the green. (yeah, you fuckin moron!!!!) . OB on the left & right of the fairway (so many fuckin OB in this golf course!!!!). If you can carry the three , you are able to make a birdie. (jangan mimpi lah).
My fitness is only for 9 holes and i am only able to score 47 in that round........ (F**K!!!).
Kudoos to panglima and his dedicated staff in maintenance this golf course. we are really appreciate that.

Nama Saya Norsiah Pak!!!!

Golfing in Malaysia really need you to be fit & mentally prepared especially when you play your 2nd nine under the hot & shinny malaysian day. Then once you "koyak" a few hole you started to dream playing in a nice, cool weather like Augusta or Home of Golf in UK.

Last week i managed to squeeze our precious time during company meeting at Awana Genting. We managed to do some golfing thru the second nine. Fuh... just like entering British Open in UK. Picture below spoke by itself.

Picture above: Kerol with his full concentration teeing off on hole number 6, par 4. unfortunately, his ball end up slicing to the right. (terus hilang). Err... our Kok Siew Kong is actually waiting for his turn for his provisional ball... ( i cant remember how many golf ball they were using for that nine hole)

As always..... i beat them all!!!!! Huargh! Huargh! Huargh! Sorry bro... and it will be always like that. For me , you guys not also lost to me but also to my caddy. Her name is NORSIAH!!!!!

Wired And Wet!!!!

Argh... today is exactly 31 days i left my f****n blog alone. Nevertheless, my golf game still remain intact. Just focusing more on my new job.

For the last four week, i managed to go for a few round of golf in West Pahang. There was an incident i encounter that golfers are surely so call "wired" person.
After registered for 18 hole in Maran Hill Golf Resort (Resort?), we went ahead for hole number 1, (index 1) par 4. My Taylormade R7 driver was very nice to me and my ball end up in the center of fairway. But golf is not only about your long & straight fuckin' drive. The stroke will count until you manage to put into the cup. and yes, it happen to me. I had sliced my second shot and end up with triple bogey.

Nobody managed to par on that hole and we moved to second hole with new hope. This dog leg left par 5 need you to properly manage your club selection. After good tee off, we move to our downhill second shot. Then i saw quiet a wired thing in front of us.

I saw a man ( i think he is the club marshal), sitting beside a man's made lake and looks confuse. Since we are not able to make a shot, i approached him and asked him to move away . He just stood there and point his finger to the lake. Gosh!!!!! we saw golf buggy awash away but luckily nobody inside. How on earth that thing happen? The fairway quiet flat & wide. It is impossible for a slow moving golf buggy would slide like that unless the driver/golfer drove it like Lewis Hamilton.
To make thing really funny, i saw a golfer trying to make a put and he looks wet & full of mud. He manage to finish his 9 hole just like that. Well done bro!!!

At the club house, he still cursing around that during the incident, he lost a dozen Nike ball, lost new funkin' Nokia 3G hand phone and he unable to break a par!!!!

i wonder he will ever thanks god for not losing his life!!!!

Golfing Should be fun!!!

Golf should be enjoyable. There is no reason why a player should have to struggle from year to year without making any improvements. But before golfing can be enjoyable and carefree, there is a need to go through an initial period of training, a learning curve in which you acquire a sound swing shape. Without the correct swing, you won't be able to play enjoyable golf!
It's just like learning to ride a bicycle, driving a car, or learning how to play a musical instrument. (It's not only depending on the equipment that you have but it's also from your lousy swing!!)

Your golf training, like these other activities, must be based upon a specific plan to be fruitful. Instructors who teach ballet, karate, horse riding, judo, or whatever, have a clear knowledge of what they are trying to create in their pupils and an equally clear knowledge of the techniques that will take the pupil to the desired goal.

The player needs a ready-made action plan so he can learn the correct techniques right from the start instead of trying to correct mistakes later on. If not, they will end like my blogger buddy; until todate yet to challenge me in in golf course. I don't no why!!!

Out of Bound.

I'm sure some of you do this.... What happen if you hit a ball and went in out of bound? Are you ( after cursing around) take a second shot near the place which the first stoke has been made?

It is common that golfer will drop the ball near the area where their first ball went out of bound( OB). They are to lazy to hit a provisional ball (with a penalty stroke) and also too lazy to go back to the original place which the shot was made when they confirmed that the first ball went OB.

According to rule 27-1, the players receives an additional two penalty strokes in stroke play, or loss of hole in match play. In stroke play, golfer must go back to the spot where the last spot where the ball was hit from and went to OB and then continue to play. In a competition, if a golfer does not go back and play from the original spot before continue the next hole, the organiser is able to disqualify the said golfer.

So, next time when you are playing with your boss, make sure he follow the rule of golf!!!!!

On my way!!!!

It not only happen in golf but anywhere!!!!.

"Where are you?"; "On my way! On my way!!, You warm up dulu & another 5 minute i sampai!!!!" - normal conversation among golfers

A few incident i had encountered in golf tournament that delayed the start of its competition because a couple of players were late. When discovered, they had granted extra time because of they are "known" to the organiser or their flight mate. Sometime they are VIPs and VVIPs. This is totally unacceptable. From my understanding, when a player is late for a tee time he has broken golf's rules and have only one option: DQ the scumbag!!!!.

Its also applied when you are having leisure golfing with your friends. Whenever you make a promise to tee off at 9.00, make sure you are ready at hole no 1 tee box, 5 minute before 9.00!!!

Late comer should be penalise. Even when you in primary school you will be punished by your disciplinary teacher when he caught you are late!!!

Shame on you, better!!!!!

Today, Tiger woood had won his 14th major!!! He earned tons of money since he involved in this weird game. But, the issue here in not tiger and his money but more on you golfer with your betting attitude in this game!! I'm totally disagree if some one said that is only for fun and it also to improve our golf game.
One day, a friend of mine came to me before i reach my office and asked me to lend him RM500.00. No question ask and he promise to return back to me before midnight. So i gave him the money and proceed with my normal and boring office life. That evening, he called me and asked me to joint him at kopitiam. To make it short, he told me that today he had some golf with some dato' and won RM4,800.00. My goodness!!!. So easy... (of course he is 11 handicapper's!!!) and to make it more interesting, he managed to pay his car and credit card installment with that money. Just imagine how stupid of the dato' are!!!. Golf is suppose is fun & healthy game. Definitely that stupid dato' don't care about the money. But for me, all of them had betray this golf game with their stupidity!!!.

My 11 handicapper friend said that he know he can beat the stupid dato because he is allow to give 6 stoke to them for 18 holes. For him 6 stroke is kacang putih. If the dato' koyak max 2 holes, the money is his already.

Betting in golf game of course is already unstoppable. Even, in my home club, golfer only want to play with their own group. (You now why). They need to bet to improve their game!!! But yet when come monthly tournament they fumbles. Yeah... to improve your ass!!! For me, golfer please don't be so greedy and stupid. There is no such person getting rich betting in golf in malaysia!!!If u think you are good , go find tiger wood and bet with him!!! Shame on you!!!!

Provisional Ball

Last two week me and my golf buddies went for golf at Astana Golf Club Kuantan . This guy wearing a nice srixon t-shirt and footjoy golf shoe on the hole no 11 (par 3) black teebox. (Of course i'm carrying my driver). After his pre- swing and he make a move. I notice his down swing a little but rusty and the ball slicing to the right and end up into a bush.
After cursing like hell, he asking for "mulligan". My other friend said "no way , you are dead meat!!!. Then he told us" i would like to take pro- ball!!". Huargh!! Huagrh!! Huargh!! Dude.... there is no such thing as Pro-ball!!!!!. You think your are pro-fessional hah!!!. You need to call provisional ball, you f****n moron!!!

So that day end up with no fun at all....

Blue Tee box? Are you girl or what?

I still remember during my first golf so call friendly tournament in Bukit Tinggi last 2 years. Numbers of my golf buddies enter a tournament there for fun. After eating all the free breakfast, we registered ourselves and start to search for our flight mate. I was stunt when i saw that the tournament will start at course championship (gold) tee box!!!! Wahh... this is championship tee box man!!! So i asked my flight mate for their handicap. i notice all of us is above 20 handicappers!!!!

i was so bengang, when i saw the said tee box will cause me another 10 or 20 yard longer. Even though I'm not aiming for any prizes but with this additional yard, i had to used a driver for the par 3!!!! Sai Lorr....

If i not mistaken, championship tee box is only for professional golfers. For myself (handicap 20 above those days) is only can play from blue tee box. During my trip to Impian Golf Resort, i was told by one of the Japanese that he will to tee off from blue tee box since he is 20 handicapper. I'm not the expert of golf rules but there are certain common senses u need to look at. i believe that golfers who are handicappers above 20, should tee off from tee box. Same thing when i played with brothers... They always told me "U perempuan ka tee off at blue tee box??"(stupid idiot!!)

Luckily i bring my secondhand ball for that day. i lost more than 5 ball and my score... huh....f****n 105. No fun at all and no wonder i cannot improve!!!!

What a weird game...

Golf is a gentleman game!!!!! Ceh.... for me golf is a weird game. Of course if u stick to all the rule and ethics u will be gentleman!!!! but are you sure u are following all the rules from the first tee to the eighteen tee ?. Either u sengaja or not, i 'm sure still langgar a few rules to make u happy. Unless, somebody or a Marshall following u for each step you gonna to take, then you will become truly a golfer. But for me, sure my score for that day will be above 100...

I accidentally started this weird game somewhere in 2000. but still, yet to score below 80. I also got my own coach which teach me after isyak prayers twice a week. Still with his sarung, he took my 7 iron and said ; Hah! pukul!!!!!. Then my golfing life started to begin!!!!!

Without my coach knowledge, i tried to get a few tips my "other coach" but my golf swing still stink. My pre- swing cantik giler. My body position always not balance. Every time rasa nak jatuh. Too many volunteer coach want to teach me..My friends told me that it was the club fault. He took my ugly driver and put in front of me. then i notice that the length of my driver is almost the the same with my height. (stupid moron!!)

To make things right, i had change my driver and 3 wood to Taylormade. I also change my iron to Callaway X14. Wah!!! damn good. But still lack of distance. So until to date i still searching a way to at least at par with tiger wood driver distance. Anybody know how to hit the ball without jeopardise my pre -swing?
