13-time winner on the Champions Tour Jim Thorpe is alleged to have failed to pay income tax of up to USD1.6 million.
This 60 years old golfer is said has failed to file his tax and make payment for three years 2002, 2003 & 2004. To make thing woest, he also is said failed to file for a corporate tax return for his company, JLT inc.
If this fler is found guilty on the charges, he will be facing seven years in prison and also USD3.2 million fine. Btw, according to PGA tour, his career earning as a professional golfer is estimated of USD13.0 million.
So, to the golfers out there: Don't drink, smoke, do drug and pay your taxes!!!!. Pls be a good damn citizen!!!!
