Pre-War Golf Story

Have you seen pre-war golf clubs used by golfers before WWW1?. Take a look images below even though some its only a replica which not available these days. Notice the golf driver and those golf ball? Even Tiger Wood will find it difficult to draw above 320 yards..

I quite amaze with the outfit and the golf gear the players wear those days…. Macho beb!!!

Btw, according to http://www.home.aone.net/, The word "golf" is recorded as long ago as 1457, in the statutes of the Scottish Parliament, when the sport was banned because it interfered with archery practice. The word was also spelled "gowf", reflecting the way the Scots pronounced it. Some say the word derives from an Old Dutch word "kolf, kolven" meaning club, clubs. I wonder….
